  8. Welcome to rccDONOR!
  9.  
  10. This file contains the latest information about rccDONOR, version 1.7. The
  11. installation instructions are listed below. Any corrections or additions to
  12. the manual are also listed below.

  14. For a complete description of rccDONOR, see the file DESCRIBE.DOC

  17. Installation
  18. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
  19. By now, if you received the distribution package in a compressed form (say
  20. from a BBS), then you should have decompressed the file (otherwise, how are
  21. you reading this file?). If you received the package on a floppy disk, then
  22. the system should already be decompressed. Please check the packing list
  23. (file PACKING.LST) and confirm that you have all the listed files.

  25. To install rccDONOR, put the floppy disk containing the INSTALL.EXE program
  26. into your floppy drive (A: or B:). Switch to that drive with the A: (or B:)
  27. command. Type INSTALL to begin the installation. Finally, answer the
  28. questions during the installation and the rccDONOR system will be installed
  29. onto your hard drive.

  31. If you already have version 1.6 of rccDONOR, the INSTALL program will ask
  32. whether you want to upgrade your system. Answer yes (Y) so that only the
  33. necessary files will be overwritten in your working directory. Don't forget
  34. to perform the Create/Convert task under the UTILITIES menu when you run
  35. rccDONOR. This will check to see if any of your data files need to be
  36. upgraded for the new version of rccDONOR. The install program does NOT
  37. automatically upgrade your data files.
